Lemonaide, a rising player in the AI music scene, has announced the launch of Collab Club, a new initiative aimed at giving music producers the ability to train AI models using their own music catalogs.
Collab Club offers producers the chance to work with AI models tailored to their specific styles and sounds. By integrating their personal music libraries, producers can create unique, high-quality AI-generated loops and tracks that maintain their artistic integrity. The move is designed to open up new revenue streams for artists and producers alike.
Kato on the Track, a producer who has worked with artists such as Tyga, Joyner Lucas, and Snoop Dogg, is one of the first to embrace this new technology. In a video shared by Lemonaide, Kato demonstrates the capabilities of his AI model, which he describes as akin to having him in the studio, offering inspiration and ideas in real time.
"I've been working in secrecy for many months now with the Lemonade team perfecting my AI model to sound like my very own production," he shares in the video. In Kato’s own words, it’s like the artists or producers will have him in the room collaborating with them and giving them ideas and inspiration.
Lemonaide's approach contrasts sharply with other AI music platforms. According to Michael "MJ" Jacob, the company's founder and CEO, many AI music tools are either built on ethically questionable practices or produce uninspired, generic output. Lemonaide seeks to strike a balance, ensuring that their AI models are trained on licensed, high-resolution data while still delivering the quality and creativity that artists demand.
"All AI models are massive sets of data. We’re taking the bet that people don’t just want to work with an AI model; they want to work with creative materials and creative people," explains Michael “MJ” Jacob. "Lemonaide Collab Club connects creators with some of today’s best producers—building a strong creative community while giving artists agency in the AI space."
With Collab Club, Lemonaide wants to empower producers by giving them the tools to harness AI in a way that respects their creative input and expands their artistic possibilities. The platform is positioned as a means for producers to explore new directions in music production while retaining full control over their data and creative output.
"My ultimate goal for Lemonaide is to create something that inspires young people to find joy in making music," said MJ. "And we're committed to doing it the right way."
