FL Studio, a world-renowned DAW used by a plenty of household names in music production, has just released a new exclusive Artist Pack in collaboration with Hit-Boy. This sample pack, available exclusively in FL Cloud, features sounds used on Hit-Boy’s grammy-nominated 2023 album "Surf or Drown" and includes nine construction kits and over 30 musical loops—totalling over 140 sounds that were used on the "Surf or Drown" album.
FL Studio's Artist Packs deliver the unique sound of a diverse set of producers, so if you’re looking for the sounds of some of the world’s biggest hitmakers, there's a big chance FL Cloud has them, given that the team adds hundreds of new sound packs every month.
"Surf or Drown" blends West Coast vibes with modern rap elements, featuring collaborations with longstanding musical ally NAS, along with Curren$y, Spank Nitti, Devin Morrison, The Alchemist, and British artist Avelino.
"Most of my ideas, the faster they come, the more people like them," Hit-Boy shares. "I remember sitting for hours trying to chop up percussion loops and get them in time; now you got so much technology that keeps the process fun."
The FL Cloud sample pack has been created by Hit-Boy in his personal studio at Chalice Recording Studio, Los Angeles. With hits for Eminem, Justin Bieber, Drake, Selena Gomez, and more, Hit-Boy has been a Grammy winner or nominee for 10 of the last 11 years—and his unique sound is now available exclusively in FL Cloud.
"With FL Cloud, it's infinite inspiration, and any type of sound you could think of is right there at your fingertips," Hit-Boy says.
FL Cloud is available to paid subscribers and offers unlimited downloads from a cloud-based sound library, limitless use of AI-powered mastering (featuring genre-customisation), and digital distribution, powered by DistroKid.
Earlier this month, FL Studio teamed up with Native Instruments to deliver more effects & instruments in its DAW. The collaboration has brought two more sets of instruments and effects to its collection.
