If you're tired of traditional digital audio workstations with their waveform-centric interfaces and long for more immersive and spatial music production, RipX got you covered, as the company has announced the release of RipX DAW for Apple Vision Pro.
Hit'n'Mix, the developers behind RipX software, unveils the imminent release of RipX DAW for Apple Vision Pro. This digital audio workstation promises to offer a unique spatial music production experience, leveraging the capabilities of the latest Apple's technology.
"Imagine: A 3D display sits before you. All audio, whether live recorded, MIDI or stem separated, is presented as fully editable notes, with instruments distinguished by distance. This is a DAW unlike any other. No waveforms in sight, just pure sound as you hear it," the press release reads.
The integration of Apple Vision Pro further enhances immersive music production, allowing users to expand their music beyond the confines of their workstation. By leveraging spatial audio technology, RipX DAW says it enables musicians to interact with their music in new ways, "walk[ing] around and interact[ing] with melody while it plays through you, just like it’s really there. This is a new way to create and enjoy sound that needs to be experienced to be believed."
"One of the key advantages of working with audio in RipX DAW, is its ability to visualise the partials within a stem. Bringing this functionality to the Apple Vision Pro creates space for these and adds another level of immersion for artists wishing to explore audio with the latest technology. In the future, collaborating in shared virtual spaces will be common," the announcement says.
The DAW isn't released yet, and the press release says it's "coming soon" without stating any specific rollout date.
